Ash Wednesday

We begin Lent on February 17 with a time to recommit ourselves to our God who loves us.

Lent is a season of self-examination and reverence when we join Christ as he walks toward death and resurrection. On Ash Wednesday we enter Lent, by taking to heart God’s invitation to remember our humanity, our failings, and our desire for closeness and reconciliation with God.

We are offering three times to receive ashes on your forehead

or the back of your hand:

7:30 to 8:30 am

11:30 am to 12:30 pm

4:30 to 5:30 pm

To receive ashes, enter the red doors of the Narthex where a pastor will offer you ashes and a worship resource. Worship for Ash Wednesday will be offered through Bridges and Beacons. Masks and distancing will be practiced as part of this worship offering.
